Nestled at the confluence of the Wabash and Eel rivers, Logansport, Indiana, is a vibrant city that seamlessly blends rich history with modern development. As the proud home of the Logansport Iron Horses, this community offers an ideal setting for professional basketball, thanks to its dynamic spirit and unwavering support for local initiatives.

Logansport, Indiana, often called the “City of Bridges” for its many crossings over the Wabash and Eel rivers, is a vibrant and welcoming community known for its deep-rooted traditions and forward-thinking spirit.  It is also recognized as the “City of Churches,” reflecting its diverse faith communities.

One of Logansport’s greatest strengths is its racial and cultural diversity. The city is home to a growing multicultural population, with strong Latino, Haitian, Asian, and other international influences enriching its schools, businesses, and local traditions. This diversity is celebrated through community events, bilingual education programs, and a strong sense of inclusion, making Logansport a uniquely connected and thriving place to live.

The city’s historic high school mascot, Felix the Cat, is the oldest in Indiana, and the school’s teams are proudly known as the “Berries.” This nickname, believed to have originated in the 1920s, represents the strong identity and pride of Logansport’s community.

With a rich history, a commitment to progress, and a welcoming, racially diverse community, Logansport is the perfect home for the Logansport Iron Horses. Wayne E. Casey

HEAD COACH

The Logansport Iron Horses are proud to introduce Wayne E. Casey as the team’s new Head Coach, bringing a wealth of experience, leadership, and a championship mindset to Logansport, Indiana. A distinguished figure in West Virginia basketball, Casey’s legacy as both a player and coach is defined by his passion for the game, player development, and community impact.

A Charleston native, Casey’s basketball journey began at Stonewall Jackson High School, where he earned All-State honors, setting the foundation for a remarkable playing career. At West Virginia State University (WVSU), he quickly established himself as a force on the court, earning the title of West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) Freshman of the Year and securing a spot on the NBA Athletes to Watch List. His dominance continued in the NAIA national tournament, earning All-Tournament Team honors and solidifying his place in WVSU history. By the end of his collegiate career, Casey had amassed 2,153 points, making him the second-leading scorer in school history—a record that still stands among the program’s all-time greats.

Following college, Casey pursued professional basketball opportunities, including international play, where he further honed his skills and knowledge of the game. Transitioning into coaching, he took over as Head Coach of the West Virginia Grind, a professional basketball team based in Charleston. Under his leadership, the Grind became a powerhouse of player development and community engagement, helping to revitalize professional basketball in the Kanawha Valley.

Beyond the hardwood, Casey has dedicated himself to public service, working as an investigator with the Public Defender Office in Charleston. His commitment to mentoring young athletes and making a positive impact in his community reflects his deep-rooted values of leadership, integrity, and service.

Now, as he takes the helm of the Logansport Iron Horses, Coach Casey is ready to bring his winning mentality, strategic expertise, and player-first approach to the team. With his proven ability to develop talent and build a culture of success, Iron Horses fans can expect an exciting brand of basketball and a team that embodies hard work, discipline, and resilience.

Dominique "Dom" Ingram

Assistant coach

The Logansport Iron Horses are thrilled to announce the appointment of Dominique “Dom” Ingram as the team’s new Assistant Coach. Dom brings a wealth of experience as a former head coach and professional development coach, making him a valuable addition to our coaching staff.

In 2016, Dom served as the Head Coach for the Indianapolis Blaze, leading the team to a balanced 5-5 record and a third-place finish in the South Division. His leadership was instrumental in guiding the team to the semifinals that season.

Beyond his coaching roles, Dom has established himself as a prominent professional development coach. He has worked with over 10 NBA players, NCAA National Champions, high-level NCAA athletes across Divisions I, II, and III, as well as top high school talents nationwide. His commitment to player development is evident through his experience with more than 2,000 youth players across multiple states.

Dom’s coaching philosophy emphasizes encouragement and positivity, coupled with a deep understanding of the mental aspects of basketball. His approach not only enhances players’ technical skills but also fosters their overall growth and confidence on and off the court.

As he joins the Logansport Iron Horses, Dom is eager to contribute to the team’s success and development. His extensive experience and dedication to nurturing talent align perfectly with the organization’s mission to build a competitive and cohesive team.

Steve Isaacs

ASSISTANT COACH

The Logansport Iron Horses are proud to announce the appointment of Steve Isaacs as Assistant Coach, bringing a wealth of experience and a storied basketball legacy to the team.

Steve Isaacs first made his mark as a standout player at Liberty University, where he became the institution’s first NAIA All-American in 1982 and earned the honor again in 1983. His exceptional performance contributed to the Flames’ impressive 23–9 record and a fifth-place finish in the NAIA National Championships during the 1982–83 season.

Following his collegiate success, Isaacs was inducted into the Liberty Athletics Hall of Fame in 2019, cementing his legacy as one of the university’s all-time greats.

Transitioning into coaching, Isaacs has served as an Assistant Coach for the Logansport Berries, contributing to the development of young athletes and fostering a competitive spirit within the team.

In addition to his coaching roles, Isaacs shares his basketball insights and experiences through his YouTube channel, engaging with a broader audience and inspiring the next generation of players.

As he joins the Logansport Iron Horses, Coach Isaacs is eager to leverage his extensive experience to develop talent and contribute to the team’s success. His deep understanding of the game and commitment to excellence align perfectly with the organization’s vision.

Kyle Wesley Tupper

Intern - SALES AND MARKETING

Kyle Tupper is a dedicated Sales and Marketing Intern for the Logansport Iron Horses, bringing his expertise in sales management, marketing, and customer engagement to the organization. Currently pursuing a degree in Selling and Sales Management at Purdue University, Kyle has a passion for sports business and community outreach.

In his role with the Iron Horses, Kyle assists with ticket sales, sponsorship acquisition, social media marketing, and game-day operations, helping to establish and grow the franchise in Logansport. His experience as an Intramural Supervisor at Purdue University Recreation and Wellness has honed his leadership and event management skills, while his role as an IHSAA baseball official has strengthened his ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

Kyle’s dedication to excellence is reflected in his achievements, including being a Finalist in the Wabash Sales Competition and First Place Winner of the PepsiCo Sales Competition. His proficiency in SalesForce CRM, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft Office Suite equips him with the technical skills necessary to drive success for the Iron Horses.

With a passion for sports and a drive for innovation, Kyle is excited to contribute to the Logansport Iron Horses’ success both on and off the court.
